FAIRFIELD CHURCH IN THE MIST

The most iconic of all the churches to be found on the marsh is this St Thomas Becket at Fairfield. It sits alone in a field cut through with dykes amongst sheep grazing. The original building dates back to the 12th century and was restored in the 18th century.
