NEAR APPLEDORE

Close to Appledore on the road to Fairfield Church you will come across this drainage ditch also known as a sewer. These are found all over the marsh area to drain the marshes to allow sheep grazing. It is from the se sheep that you get the local salt marsh lamb. The sewers are in fact a great habitat for fish and wildlife.
